General
What is OhMyOTP and how does it work?+
OhMyOTP gives you temporary, real SIM-card phone numbers for receiving SMS verification codes. The flow is simple: sign in, top up your balance, pick a service to verify (e.g. WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord), and we assign you a number. When the verification SMS arrives, the code appears in your dashboard — usually within seconds.
If no SMS arrives, no charge applies — the reserved amount is refunded to your balance.
Which countries are the numbers from?+
Our numbers come from multiple regions, including U.S. (T-Mobile), U.K. (Three), and Hong Kong. Inventory varies by service and over time — the rental page shows which countries are currently available for the service you want to verify.
Are these real SIM-card numbers, or VoIP?+
All numbers offered through OhMyOTP are real, physical SIM-card numbers from mobile carriers — never VoIP or virtual numbers. This means much higher acceptance rates on platforms that block virtual numbers.
Can I use OhMyOTP through a VPN or Tor?+
Yes. We don’t restrict access by IP. Note that the third-party service you’re verifying with may have its own rules about VPN/Tor connections, which are outside our control.
Do the numbers support voice calls?+
No. Numbers are for SMS verification only. Voice calls and outbound SMS are not supported.
Do I need to verify my identity (KYC)?+
No. There is no KYC. You sign in with Discord OAuth or an email one-time password, and that’s it.
Rentals & SMS
What happens if I don’t receive the SMS?+
If the rental expires without a valid SMS, you’re refunded automatically — the reserved amount goes back to your balance. You only pay for rentals that successfully receive a code.
Can I cancel a rental?+
Yes. Rentals still waiting for an SMS can be cancelled and refunded to your balance. Rentals that have already received an SMS are charged as normal — the code was delivered, so the service was used.
Can another customer use a number I’ve rented?+
Not while it’s rented to you. Once the rental expires or is cancelled, the number returns to the pool and may be assigned to another customer later.
Can I reuse a number I’ve previously rented?+
No. Each rental is a fresh assignment. We don’t guarantee that any specific number will be available again.
Allowed services
Which platforms can I verify on?+
Most consumer platforms work — social networks, messaging apps, marketplaces, gaming, ride-sharing, dating, forums, and similar services.
OhMyOTP is not for banks, financial institutions, payment processors, brokerage or crypto exchanges, or government / KYC-regulated services. See our Terms for the full list.
Can I use OhMyOTP for bank verifications?+
No. Banks, credit unions, payment processors, and similar regulated financial services are prohibited. Using our numbers for these is a violation of our Terms and is undertaken entirely at your own risk.
Billing & refunds
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, USDT, and others) via OxaPay. Credits land on your balance automatically once the on-chain payment is confirmed.
What if I send the wrong crypto amount?+
You’ll be credited for the exact amount we receive, converted at the exchange rate at the time of confirmation. No funds are lost — you simply get credit proportional to what you actually sent.
My crypto payment hasn’t arrived. What do I do?+
After the network has confirmed the transaction, balance is usually credited within minutes. If you’ve waited well past normal confirmation time, contact support with your transaction hash so we can reconcile it.
What is your refund policy?+
Refunds are automatic when an SMS is not received within the rental window — credits return to your balance. Balance itself is non-refundable to fiat or crypto except where required by law, but it stays on your account and can be used for any future rentals.
API
Do you have an API?+
Can I resell or run bulk verifications?+
Yes. You can integrate our API into your own service and set your own pricing. We don’t currently offer a dedicated reseller discount, but there are no per-account caps for normal API usage.
Account & support
I can’t sign in. What do I do?+
For Discord sign-in, make sure cookies aren’t blocked for our domain. For email OTP, check spam if the code doesn’t appear within a minute and request a new one if needed. If you’re still stuck, contact support.
