Terms of Service

OhMyOTP provides temporary phone numbers for receiving SMS verification codes. Numbers are sourced from carriers including U.S. T-Mobile, UK Three (3UK), Hong Kong, and other regions. All numbers offered through the Service are real, physical SIM-card numbers — not VoIP or virtual numbers.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that the platform is intended solely for receiving SMS verification codes for legitimate, lawful purposes.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

You may sign in via Discord OAuth or email one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, API keys, and any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not use the Service to engage in any illegal or criminal activity. Any such use is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your account and forfeiture of any remaining balance.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to commit fraud, identity theft, or any other criminal offense.
• Attempt to circumvent verification systems of services that prohibit temporary numbers.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute received SMS codes or numbers without our written consent.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or attempt to bypass security controls.
• Use automated means to abuse rate limits, exhaust inventory, or otherwise interfere with the Service.

The Service is not intended for, and we do not knowingly provide numbers for, verification with:

• Banks, credit unions, or any other regulated financial institutions.
• Financial applications, payment processors, money-transfer services, brokerage accounts, or cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Government services, tax authorities, or any platform requiring verified identity for legal or regulatory purposes.

Attempting to use our numbers to register or authenticate with any such service is a material violation of these Terms and is undertaken entirely at your own risk. We disclaim all responsibility for any consequences arising from such use.

We make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver SMS codes quickly, but we do not guarantee availability of any specific number, successful delivery of any particular SMS, or compatibility with any third-party service. Inventory varies by carrier and region.

A rental reserves a number for a fixed period. After it expires, the number may be returned to the pool and reused by other customers.

Funds added to your balance are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly granted by us. Charges are deducted from your balance at the time you rent a number. If a rental expires without a valid SMS being received and we are able to confirm non-delivery, the rental cost may be refunded to your balance at our discretion.

Prices, available services, and supported carriers may change at any time without prior notice.

API keys are issued for programmatic access. You are responsible for protecting your API key and for all activity performed using it. You may rotate or revoke your API key at any time from the Settings page.

The Service, including its software, branding, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by OhMyOTP and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.

We collect the minimum information needed to operate the Service — your authentication identifier (Discord ID or email), your balance, and your rental history. SMS messages received on numbers you rent are temporarily stored so we can display them to you. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY NUMBER WILL SUCCESSFULLY RECEIVE A VERIFICATION CODE OR THAT ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICE WILL ACCEPT IT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OHMYOTP, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF — OR INABILITY TO USE — THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE NINETY (90) DAYS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (b) USD $50.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OhMyOTP and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability and Indemnification) shall survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by posting a notice on the website. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which OhMyOTP is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
